UMR CONNECTS: Cambodian Refugees Living in America

9/26/17, 7:00 PM

About this event

Kim Sin will share the untold story of Cambodian refugees living in America. Kim is living the "American Dream". He came to the US penniless as a refugee at the age of 6 years old after a successful escape from the Khmer Rouge with his family as a toddler. By way of the Philippines, they relocated to Rochester, MN and were sponsored by a church organization.

This presentation will give our community a better understanding of what is it like to live in a new country, with little knowledge of the American culture.
